Using the Interactive TAMP Route Map: Thanks for your interest in the Tennessee Amphibian Monitoring Program! The TAMP interactive map allows potential volunteers to calculate the distance and driving time to the nearest available route. You can zoom in and out by either using the plus/minus symbols on the map or the wheel on your mouse. Clicking a particular TAMP route will show more information on the route, including whether or not the route is currently active and already being run by a TAMP volunteer. "Active" means the route is currently being run by a TAMP volunteer. "Needs Volunteer" means we are looking for someone to run the route. "Never Run" means the route has never been run and we are looking for a TAMP volunteer to establish the ten stop points on the route (see the protocol page) and to run the route. You can move around the map by clicking and dragging. If you see a route that looks feasible, clicking on the route icon will bring up a box showing the route name and number. Clicking the navigation icon at the top right of the box (the "right turn" icon) will open up a Google navigation box with the route start point shown as the destination. If you enter your home address, the driving directions to the route and the driving time to the route start point from your home will be shown.
If you see a route that looks like it might work for you, please send me an e-mail at engc205@aol.com or call me at 615-210-8774. I can tell you more about the route and send you detailed route maps.
